Right now the MGM is performing better then the MM and with some MGM's ESC offering a 200A+ controller, I gues CC will have trouble beating that.

The last thing I am going to buy is the ESC for my savage. I'm hoping this baby comes out before I'm ready to buy. After playing with a mamba max today, all i can is I want a monster mamba max in my savage.

Spoke with a CC rep. yesterday, shot the "stuff" with him for a while and asked about the MMM he said they're working feverishly and it should be out very very soon, even though the motor may not be ready yet they will still release the ESC. He stated that it's closer to coming out now than it's ever been. My guess is it'll be out by Christmas hopefully, I wouldn't put my money on it but hopefully this is some sort of indication that its coming.

I hope you're talking right.
Imagine that it is capable of 6s and plus with an incredible amp draw of 300+. Smooth operation, no thermalling and over heating. Program it via computer...what else would we ask for?
RELEASE DATE YA MORON!!!
I'm not flaming anybody here, just myself..:)
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!

I wouldn't buy it. Other ESC works great with what ever motor you throw at it and CC has made a fool of themselves with the software not being able to time correctly with motors 4 poles and higher.

It will have to be pretty amazing given how long its taken CC to get it built. That said, lutach is quite correct; only thing that puts me off the MGMs is the complicated programming ( I can tune a TV with my eyes closed, but those dont blow up if you get it wrong... usually ).
I'll wait and see what Traxxas & Novak have up their sleeves.

I find it easy to program my MGM, but it could be better. After you have it programmed tho it is just an amazing ESC.

I agree, my problem was that the motor shorted a phase. Its back with Mike to be sent back to MGM for repair
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Not sure about what Traxxas and Novak will come up with. The VXL Emaxx will be another 14 cells, 4s setup. There is no way that Traxxas would do a 6s (2 3s in series) setup for the emaxx. It will most likely resemble the Novak HV, hopefully with a lower kv motor with a bigger rotor/can than the novak. My rustler vxl system ran way hot on 3s with stock gearing/tires, hope the traxxas emaxx system will be cooler running. Bob Novak has been running that kyosho buggy with a ctr slipper with A 48P spur and the hv system on 5s. I can see that buggy is for top speed only, can you imagine how long a 48p spur would last off road, or drag racing?!?!?!?! In any case Traxxas and Novak make stuff for the mainstream. We are not mainstream. Most here(myself included) consider a 2hp (peak) motor in a 1/8 buggy tame, and motor temps above 150f unacceptable. If a mainstream mfg brought out a 2hp system that ran under 150f it would cost a grand (or more) have about 100 sales, and I would probably pass out from shock
