I have decided on the 7L motor. I like a lot of power, and cool running.
 As for the battery, would the 5500mAH saddle pack be better in the RC10GT than the 5000 3s pack? I noticed the saddle pack is only 2s5p... will 2s give me enough power on the 7L motor?

The 7l is a 3s motor, you could run 2s but it would need to be bigger than 5000mah. The 5k maxamps 3s pack should be fine, as long as it fits!
