A maxiumum of 4s. In the case of the evx you will need 2x 2s lipo batteries since it has two sets of input leads- a 2s battery plugs into each one.

I am going to go brushless soon I was told to flip the diffs so just so i get this right take the top of the diff and put it on the bottom for both diffs correct...

What is the purpose to flip the diffs? Does this make it stronger?

No. The ONLY reason to flip the diffs is if you are using a sensored brushless system (ie., Novak) and the motor runs backwards. On non-sensored systems, you can switch the pos/neg motor wires to make this correction.
