lol, Iowa is a "tad" out of your way, unless you want to check out the featureless landscape, and/or get off on seeing miles and miles of cornfields.

Found a link w. lots of info @ UE forums.

However, I'm a bit confused what the devil the event is. All classes are listed as "side by side" racing

The R/CMTRA World Finals will take place on October 27 & 28, 2007. We pushed back the date a bit further to give chances to those wanting to race @ our event/s. We understand that there are numerous events that take place in the months of September & early October so we decided to push back the dates a bit for those wanting to compete at the World Finals.

The place will be once again, on our 6th year run there, Chester, NY @ Barnstormers R/C Raceway.

For more info: www.barnstormersrc.com & www.rcmtra.com or rcmtra@aol.com

You can pre-register for this event too by downloading registration form at www.rcmtra.com
Trophies & prizes will be awarded - Raffles & more!

After numerous meetings and considerations with the team here @ RCE-MS Group The 2007 R/CMTRA World Finals this year will be a Halloween themed event. The track layout will be decorated as a grave yard. Lots of Halloween decorations, lighting, color, and more!

This venue will be a yearly event style theme for the R/CMTRA World Finals. We look forward to this themed event for 2007. We have updated the ad. Pre-registrations are now being accepted. The New event fee's will be $35. 1st truck / $20. 2nd truck & $10. for each additional after....All fee's can be paid @ the track location. Check out the R/CMTRA Website for more info on this event.

The following R/C Companies have joined the family of Sponsors for the 2007 World Finals; as we get new sponsors they will be added to this thread.

RC Driver
Team Associated
Duratrax
Hobbico
RC4WD

Tony - R/CMTRA Pres.
more sponsors welcome!

If anyone is willing to sponsor a class the following goes like this;

Racing Classes:
Big Block (Side-by-Side Racing) $97.90

Small Block (Side-by-Side Racing) $97.90

Brushless (Side-by-Side Racing) $97.90

1/8 scale Buggy (Nascar type racing on dirt with jumps) $250. A-B-C mains/Total

Truggy (Side-by-Side Racing) $97.90

Solid Axle (Side-by-Side Racing) $97.90

Freestyle & Concourse events:
$121.50 / covers both events

Anyone who would be courtesy enough to sponsor a class listed above can send me an e-mail @ rcmtra@aol.com with your name so that ican post next to class sponsoring.

NOTE: Sponsors do not pay entry fees to race!
I saw from the pix last year they have a regular race course w/ jumps and all, but also they have a classic MT layout w/ painted lids as crushed cars and all, like you would see in 1:1 MT stadium racing. ummm...

It sounds a bit silly to run truggies this way, but only the buggies are listed as "nascar style racing w/ jumps"

OTOH they have lots of prizes to give away, so perhaps worth going to regardless. Lemme see if I can clarify this...

RCMTRA 2006:

Clearly saw a couple Gmaxxes racing there. I'm quite sure at least one was RCM Mike's. It was normal style racing. Looks to be a cool event.
