Oh, ok. But you don't have to solder it at a 90 degree angle, correct? If you want you can just have it go through the main hole in the back of the plug, right?
Sounds good. I am hoping to receive the plugs tomorrow. I plan to use these plugs only for the motor/ESC connections though. I have always used deans for my battery/ESC connections.
Too bad Deans didn't make a three point connector like their regular plugs. And they could even make it non-polarized so switching two of the motor wires (if spinning the wrong way) would be as simple as flipping the connector. :)
I'm using the 5.5mm connectors as well, I have no problems sticking 10 Gauge wires in them.... I got my wires from robotmarketplace.com, they're pertty flexible for 10 gauges.. I have yet to try the 8 gauge, but then I'll have to move everything to 6mm connectors..
