Yes, you can. I've got a CC Barracuda 125 in my MGT, using the mechanical brakes. I honestly can't tell any difference between the performance of the Barracuda and the Mamba Max. The Barracuda has far few tuning options, of course, but for a basher like me, it's no big deal. I'm sure there are differences in the start profiles and acceleration profiles, but the biggest software difference is the lack of brakes on the Barracuda. If you're using the mechanical brakes, though, this shortcoming doesn't matter.

Plus, the lack of braking duties means there is far less stress on the controller, so it doesn't get as hot. Mine hasn't gotten over 125F yet, even though it doesn't have a heat sink. This is using a Neu 1512 2.5D/F and 6s2p A123 cells.

OK cart213, the main reason why i ask this is because i'am to convert my revo into brushless and i've order an MGM Compro 16018 with a Neu 1515, 1Y.
And i want a spare ESC in case where the MGM died.
On my revo, i use the stock mechanical brake, so if i go with the baracuda, you can tell me that t's a solid choice??
But please tell me about the cogging with castle and Neu combo Lot of guys here tell that Mamba Max controler cog like crazy with Neu, but is the barracuda run great with the Neu motor??

thank you!

David
