Yea that is the point of our quest. In one respect you are smart not to get into the UE end, but on the other hand if UE stops production the parts will become extremely valuable in two ways. One is that you would have gear that very few people are privi to, and second is that there will be a high demand for what is left out there. The whole point of this is that UE has a huge fan base that wants to spend their hard earned money on their products, but if you treat your own customers like crap what are you doing to your business. If this ends badly with the SuperMaxx RC community then why would Harley want to trust doing business with him either? They are shooting themselves in the foot in a big way with this childish game towards the people who have invested a ton of money into their company.

Lets be real here. The SuperMaxx line has made them hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last few years, and can still make a huge chunk of bling if they just get on the ball. Everything is already set up for them to just crank out replacement parts. Your reputation is what people see in the business world. A scandle can ruin even the biggest of companies. This is financial suicide for UE.

Harley will not care about RC's, bottom line. Other than that, I agree replacements should be more available. Unfortunately, it's not our decision.

Ue Issues - 10.29.2007, 04:00 PM

My comment WAS NOT to the affect of weahter or not Harley would care about RC, it is to the affect that they will care about how a sub company which they and their consumers purchase product from treats its own customers. No company wants to get involved where there are integrity issues with customer service/support problems.

Just think about it this way. If you were in the shoes of a company who is supplying parts for an appliance that you made, and a customer asks you questions about replacement parts for that appliance, such as when can we expect them to be in stock. What kind of response would you be inclined to give? A simple SOON, or within 6 weeks, or even we are sorry that item is discontinued would not be an unreasonable response to expect from any supplier. This is a simple matter if mutual respect between a business owner and his customers. Am I wrong about this? Am I the only one out here that gets what is happening here? Are there matters here that are just not visible on the surface of this situation? I am baffled that in America today that people are putting up with this kind of crap and think that it is exceptable behavior. Come on you are a customer specialist. Is this ok with you?
