Well I cant coment on the electric versions but I will give you a basic rundown on the Nitro versions. The CRT is heavier and the oldest, it is still a great truggy but the newer ones are more popular, probably for good reasons. Then for the MBX5T and XT8 they are my two favorite, I favor the Xray because of quality and I think they handle better too but I have never driven one to know, Then you have the 8ight, not my favorite, although it is a good car it is harder to drive, if you get on the gas to early in a turn you will do a 180, just a bit harder to drive. But you might want to look into the ST-RR from the three times I have seen one run it looks to be amazing, it turns way better than anything else, it just looks dialed, you might want to consider one.

Well I have a brushless equipped X1-CRT Pro right now and just ordered the XT8. I won't know how they compare until I get it set up though. I will say that the Jammin is very durable and a great truck. I have mine setup with a Neu 1515, MGM 160, Flightpower 4s 25C 5000 (also an extra Hyperion 4s 4350), and Airtronics 359 servo. The XT8 is longer and seems to have better materials as well as better handling from what I've heard. One thing I didn't like as much about my CRT was it's turning radius. Not as tight as the new 8ight-T. Hope that helps a little.

Yo Sower, been a while.
I haven't driven the other models mentioned but they all look good to me on the track. I can comment that the CRT is tough as nails, but does need some mods to make it turn with the best of em and you need to dial it in from it's stock settings. You'll need to reduce it's width between the wheels with no-offset rims and 5-6mm offset hubs. This brings it in line with an 8T. You'll also need to trim back the steering stops on the front hubs to get more swing on the tires. This brings it up to speed. Haven't found a truggy yet that out does mine on the local track.
The 8T layout makes for an easy to balance conversion though.

(I was asking because there were all those other conversions mentioned.)

Anyway, I use 18/46 for 4S and 15 or 16/46 for 5S on that motor.

I installed a nice heatsink on the motor since those last pics, btw.

Hey, what's up cadima? Yeah, I've been here but not always posting. Since getting my CRT pretty much dialed in with my MGM/Neu I haven't had anything to post about really. Thanks for the tips on the CRT tuning, but I just bought a nice XT8 that will be here Thursday.

I'll be selling my CRT as a whole package pretty soon. I have to replace a CVD so I'm waiting on that. However, this XT8 I've got coming is pretty sweet. Comes with upgraded aluminum hub carriers as well as some wheel extenders and 0mm offset rims. I'm pretty stoked about it. Great to hear from you cadima - your conversion is still one of the best ever. Just awesome!

Dafni,
I am working on a version 2 of my CadimaRT conversion, and am studying weight distribution. Looking at your xray conversion, seems the weight is biased towards the rear quite a bit. Can you comment on how the handling is? Have you been able to compare it to the nitro version handling? Any input appreciated. thx!

You are right, the XRays by nature have a more rear biased weight distribution than most other truggies (and buggies too). On the truggy it's really apparent, the front being stretched like that. Just look at that link on the steering servo.
When Mike and me were working on that truck, we kept wondering how it would handle.
Because I studied some nitro XRays I wanted to keep the battery that much to the rear. Similar to the nitro engine and tank. Mike told me to move it forward, I said I could still move it later on, basically trial and error. But when it was finished we were both amazed, first try definitely felt like a hit. It has very good on-power steering, and the off-power is just unreal. At first we tested it on the lawn, Mikes' frontyard, steering was real good. And on the track it's the same, turns perfect.
Somehow the trucks geometry works very well with the weight biased like that, on the track and in the air too.

Hi Daf,
Wish I could understand the relationship......Kyosho and Ofna are both pushing things forward on their upcoming releases. I am an off-power fan myself and that's what I am pursuing. Thanks for the reply......
