You can sort of make a switch, but all it does is turn the BEC on and off. Just take a regular switch from Radio Shack (or similar). Cut the red receiver wire. Put the switch between the two ends on the cut receiver wire. Turning it on will allow the controller to be "turned on" as it will get a radio signal. A little power from the battery will still be used by the controller with this.

If you use an external battery source to power the receiver/servo, then do the same to the wire on the source. It will give the 9920 a radio signal or it will remove the radio signal (by powering the receiver or by cutting its power). The main battery will still be slightly used, as plugging it into the controller will still have it ON (just not doing anything).
