I have a feeling that the outrunner on the new emaxx tranny will suprise many. Having some gearing and a good slipper will really make the outrunner work well. I will try my 2826/12 in my new emaxx on 5s with lst diffs and see how it does. Gearing will be 20/38 or close and with the two speed it should haul butt. These axi outrunners are really nice, and priced very well considering the quality.

I also would love to do a direct to diff but am unsure of what out runner to use for this?

Thank you both!! ill be lerking and reading for the emaxx tranny with a out runner, only reason I was looking at out runners is because it looks cool as hell :)

I am beginning acquiring parts to do a new emaxx with your lst diff upgrade. I plan to run an axi outrunner on 5s thru a quark esc and see how it works. I will most likely wait for traxxas to release the two speed kit and see how that works. I may also do a single servo conversion, as I will need a pair of matched servos for the chassis I am buying. Already figured that out! I think the combo of the great revo slipper and some gear reduction with the tranny, plus a two speed will help the outrunner and its torque production.
