As far as I can see, icarerc.com is a health insurance site. I am looking for help with a busted plettenberg, if there's someone local, I'd really like to know.

Thanks for the link info. Unfortunately, $250 for a motor is a bit steep for this project.

All I did was heat it up to red/orange and let it cool by itself and it drilled and tapped easily. I always chuck my taps in the drill press and use it to keep the tap straight as it threads into the material. To harden the gear, I heated it up till it was orange/red and dropped it into a can full of oil and let it fully cool. I just did the same thing with the 18t gear as well, I will have to try it out in something else.

I ran the crt.5 again for another 30min and the gear seems to be holding up fine. Looks like it will last, but I will update after a few more packs.

HAHA, getting there, actually I need to sell off a few as I would like to get a baja ss kit, looks badass!

I also adjusted my MM half way thru the second run. I moved the start power from low to normal. Wow what a difference. The plett starts very smoothly now, almost as good as a sensored motor. I have to hand it to CC and their pc interface, really easy to use and it does make a difference!
