I would also like to know how they compare to the longer Neus.

Someone else here has soldered wires right into the 3.5mm plugs on a Lehner with no problems. They should be able to take some heat, the solder connections to change the winding configuration is right next to the plugs.
I was looking at the data that Lehner provides and I noticed they throw a lot of AMPs on the motors. They report loaded Kv rating and I think the load they use is a nice one. This is for the 1950-6HA http://www.lehner-motoren.com/motord...50-6HA.32V.xls. The last rating is at 6400 watts. The 2240-7HA http://www.lehner-motoren.com/motord...7%20HA.24V.xls. That one was 7200 watts. The 2280-5HA http://www.lehner-motoren.com/motord...80-5.HA32V.xls and 2280-7HA http://www.lehner-motoren.com/motord...80-7.HA40V.xls. The 2280-5HA on 32V is at 12,800 watts and the 7HA at 40V is at 10,000 watts. I don't know how Neu rates his motor, but it would be nice if they did something like Lehner.
