same basic set-up, moved the esc., still need to get a ubec, and i changed to 18 tooth pinion/have not ran it though

also painted a body today , just did a fade job, looks better in the pics then in person, but it will get beat bad come spring

nah, that body looks great. good job!

uh-oh - is that a non-hardened steel pinion i see? you might want to try the kyosho plastic spur - that's what i'm going to try once i get my eXT8 back in a week or two. supposedly you just have to drill the holes to 4mm and it'll fit.

yeah i may try that, i have not run this pinion, i got it with my crt.5 i bought, i will have to get a hardened one then

how can you tell the diff. between the two?

the last few hardened pinions i bought from RCM have been the near-black color... but maybe the older hardened ones weren't that dark. it was just a guess.

thanks, i just should have used more yellow and orange, it got to dark in the back, but it will work

i dont know the weight on it around 10 +


this pinion is a light bronze, so it must not be hardened

what size plastic spurs are available??

44,46,48?

and all i need to do is make the screw holes bigger?
