That's pretty amazing. I have a 7700. I was able to run it in my T3 by gearing it down very very low and running only 6 cell NIMH. on 2 cell lipo it got wayyy to hot. I ran it in my DF03 buggy for a while, but it was too much there. Kept melting diffs, but the motor handled it nicely. I have no home for the 7700 at the moment. I got a 5700 for the DF03.
Let me guess, its geared for 20 mph, its 6 degrees F outside and it was a 3 minute run cuz you had to come inside or your controller hand would have gotten frostbite.
...Or you bought this motor from the same guy who sold Jack his magic beans.
Somethin seems screwy... Ive never seen a MM7700 run at 115 on 6 cells in a touring car...
BTW: I'm not sayin this info isnt accurate, I just feel like a piece is missing from this puzzle.
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
The diffs will hold for maybe a couple of runs. If you don't mind rebuilding them all the time, you can hang with them. Otherwise, get some diff cups. Or, get Hotbodies diffs (the pro) and get 1/8 cases. So, in all, I would get diffs, center shafts and maybe an idler, not sure how the new tranny's are...I guess they are good enough. Can't remember if you have the new maxx or old maxx, if old, definitly get a steel idler gears. You get can this stuff as you break it...
I would talk to mike about the feigo 8xl and find out when he will be getting them in.
