Truggy tires would be the way to go IMO if you are set on running something that big. They are about the same height but narrower and lighter which will help you with both speed and minimizing the load on your drivetrain.

I tried MT tires on my rustler once and that only lasted 10 minutes before I removed them. They make the rustler handle really bad and also made it lift the front end more then usual due to the larger heavier rear wheels.
