I finally got a chance to run the AXI 2826/8 motor in this setup.

It outperforms the 2826/10 by alot. A pretty large increase in top speed. I don't notice any decrease in torque, but it does run cooler. I didn't expect cooler temps. I am going to contribute this to better air flow since the stator poles don't appear to be quite so "stuffed" as with the 10 turn motor.

The 8 turn spools up fast enough to put it on it's lid very quickly. Gotta kinda watch that itchy finger now.

Out of the two motors, the 8 turn is definately the way to go.

Did you run the 8 turn on the sony cells or your lipos?

Glad to hear that it works well, and the temps stay in check.

I ran the 8 turn on the Sony Cells yesterday afternoon and just ran it on a Firepower 4S 5000mah 20C setup.

Runtimes are about the same with both battery setups.

I like how the truck handles with the lipos better. A little less weight does make a difference, especially in handling and jumping.

I am very happy with this setup. I believe it to be "track worthy" now.

Got another Tower Hobbies order on the way. I put together everything to do the two speed kit with. While I was completing the order, the 13 tooth idler that I had on MY list, suddenly went on backorder. Ugh!

I completed the order though. I have a couple of complete transmissions in it for the New E maxx.

My next new project will be eliminating the slipper and going Direct Drive to input shaft with an outrunner setup.

If I can make it fit, I'm going to install the AXI 4120/14 turn!

It runs very cool and at 660kv, it should make for a Wild setup on 6S. Even on 4S, it should perform very well. It will be more of a top speed setup.
