Does your reciever have HDMI in/out? If so, you can run your HDMI through there and get true surround sound out of it. If not, then use either an optical (digital) cable from your TV to the reciever, or simply use R/L component cables (these are the standard RCA style cables).

Yes, cables are one of the biggest consumer ripoffs in the electronics department.

Isn't it funny how this thread starts out consoling him for losing his girl and now it is all about audio/video equipment. That should tell you something about what makes us men happy HA HA HA HA. Just give us a few toys to play with and leave us alone.
