Have to remember that the velineon can only run 50k rpms because of the bigger rotor.

BS...there's already been folks running them on 4S.

Isnt the vleinon 3100kv. 3100*14.8(4s) = 45880rpm

45880 < 50000

EDIT: OK Just looked it up. Its 35000k.... Still just a smidge over the 50000. 51K and change.
I'll just shut up now.

On 3s the velineon motor will be fine. It is about the same size as a s can feigao. Similar to a 10s, if memory serves me correctly. I ran a 12s feigao in a stampede on 3s lipo thru a mm and it had tons of power, even geared for 50mph. I have had more success with the feiao motors, than the mm motors. And the vxl rustler I had ran too hot for my liking, but I never played with the gearing.
