For racing I would think it would be fine- higher voltage, slower motor, fewer amps as a result. Just gear to suit your needs pretty much- run a CC BEC though, the built in one isnt upto much.

I'm using a receiver pack,I disabled the BEC in the esc
Gorillamaxx Revo CF version on Mamba maxx ESC with NEU 1515 1Y on Maxamps 4s 8000mah Lipo |
