Wow, that saw stop thing is pretty impressive. It's $69-89 for a replacement cartridge each time the safety mechanism is used, which I guess is cheaper and easier to buy than new fingers.
One of our woodwork teachers in high school was about 60 and had been doing that sort of work for probably 40 years, but he put one of his fingers in a table saw at school one day, so anybody can have simple mistakes like that which turn out bad.
