Hey Brian, Thanks for all your help but it doesent work lol. Here is what i have. The pack had a kokam tap on it which i switched to a hyperion tap. I wired it like you said (+on the lone black wire than the -on the other black wire reads 3.7 -on the red wire reads 7.4 on a volt meter). I pluged it in to the hyperion balancing adapter that comes with the EOS610i and it doesent recognize anything is there. Just be aware i am charging through the main leads while using the tap for balancing. Also after i get thoes to work i need to work on getting a y-balance harnes to work so i can balance both as one! Thanks Man, Trever

P.S. I want to balance them tomorrow so if its possible for you to call i will send you my number in a PM. Thanks

Is it safe to say that is also a good diagram for running a dual pack (y adapter) into a single pack lead ESC?

@Trever007: If it doesn't work, there must be a wiring issue. I saw your PM, but have been away from the internet for the majority of the weekend. At any rate, it's hard to go over wiring over the phone. The best thing to do is take a large clear picture of your wiring. Make sure that the picture shows each individual wire. I can then Photoshop whatever is wrong and re-post it. That's probably the easiest/best way to do this without seeing it in person.

@Mahazael: Yes, that's a typical Y adaptor and can be used to charge two seperate packs as one AND run two seperate packs as one.

@E-Revonut: I suppose it could be, but how would it look if a mod stickied their own threads? As it is, there are already a few threads of mine stickied!

Bigger is better in this case, so yes. You might have to email the picture to me as there are image size/dimension guidelines in this forum...

Right on Brian, my thoughts exactly!

Glad I read the rest of this thread before this post, or I may have been mislead by its obvious sexual conatations!

i now have the taps out of the batteries working. I just needed to connect the red wire to a black one, black to a black, black to a red. Might make no sense but it works lol. Now i just need to make the Y-Harnes which i think will be difficult lol. We'll see. I might be sending you some pics of what i have! Thanks, Trever.

P.S. Do you have a starting point for making the Y-Harness using the colors of wires coming out of the Neu Pack and the voltages they should read?

That's odd. But really, the colors themselves don't matter; they could be all pink with yellow polkadots and it would still work perfectly fine. Since the tap wires are in cell order, it's usually just a matter of finding the most negative and positive wires and go from there. But it's always best to use a meter and verify each cell.

And no, I have never run Neu packs, so I have no idea about the color order. But I am always willing to take lipo donations of all sizes and shapes so I can map out all the combinations. I of course would send them back, but only have several hundred cycles...just to make sure they work ok.
