Mine doesn't press on easily, unless I put it in a vice. The little screws are preventing it from going on. I could trim the inside of the cover but then I'm worried it won't stay on.

I have never seen a Neu 1515 series motor with those screws holding the endbell in place.Did you buy the motor new? or used?
