High Speed XTM BL buggy

Very cool. Its actually a very stable driving buggy. I did one of these about a year and a half ago. I didnt go white as high power as you are planning though. I've not seen another one converted so I'm looking forward to seeing your results.

Hey Jeff, did you ever get the 2 speed pinion figured out? Any tests done since?

I drew it up and had Mike machine it for me. I unfortunatly dont have the drawings for it any more though. Damn hard drive crash a few months ago and I lost a bunch of my older drawings and such. Mike might still possibly have it around, but If I remember correctly I had a slight miscalculation on one of the screw holes in it and it took some "creative" adjustments to get it all bolted up properly. SO if he does still have it its probably not exactly right anyway.

EDIT: Although if Mike has done one for a XTM Mamoth, its exactly the same setup. I think I remember seeing something posted that he made for someone.

Yea. The one I made was working like a charm. But its easy now. Mike sells a 2 speed pinion setup with a whole range of gears for them too. I actually pilfered the 2 speed pinion off o the XLB when I built my DM1, and then mike came out with his 2 speed pinion setup and I got a set from him. I still havent put the XLB back together again. The motor and speed controll were pilfered for another project as well. I keep meaning to put it all back together again, but I just never seem to get around to it. Maybe when the MMM combo gets released I'll just get one to drop in and run it.... but I'll probably get into some other project and it'l sit for another 6 months before I actually get around to it.

Hmm I will email and ask. As for the pinions, do you have a link of where Mike has them on the site? Does Mike have a telephone # to call and order?
