I have direct input for the MM and the stock 5700 motor. It has plenty of power to sling your heavy trucks around. It is the shaft that is the week point. With all of the torque with the weight of the vehicle it snaps the shaft with just about any off roading. My setup at the moment is MM with 8xl 16t pinion and 47t metal spur with FLM BL kit for the savage all running on 40 series beadlocks and 4s of maxamps 5000mah. It performs very well with more power and speed than the nitro engine it had, but i am a balls to the walls guy so i am working on a MMM, Neu 1521 and 6s of Neu Energy.
