I'm not sure what vehicle you're running but I have tried the 8XL using a 12020, 5S lipo on 13/46 gearing for my buggy. Wickedly fast. Dare I say faster than most nitro buggies in a track situation.

Anyway, the esc held up but the battery gets too warm. So u have to make sure the batteries are up to it. By all indication, the MMM should be the same or better in terms of performance so it should work happily. I have moved to a 9XL to keep battery temps down.

In addition, I'm in the tropics where ambient temperature & humidity are all off the scale. So, if you're running in cooler climate, that's even better.

Regards,
Joe Ling

PS : Mike is still keeping silent on my request for pre-order
