I'm finishing up my own conversion (basically the MMM and 9XL on 4s 8000), and while at first I was pissed that Traxxas introduced the E-Revo, I don't really mind now.

I mean: I wanted it brushless, no doubt in my mind. So even if I got the E-Revo, I'd still need the 9XL, the MMM, the Lipo and a 2.4GHz radio. Since I got a very good deal on a very fine roller, I'd say my finished brushless conversion will be cheaper than buying the official E-Revo and converting it to brushless...

I think you will be happy with your converted revo....I think when everyone is racing them the converted ones will rise to the top due to being a little lighter and tougher then the production e-revo....not that the e-revo is junk, just more for the masses to be afordable
