Yes. It replaces the front brace. I'm not sure exactly what is supposed to do thats different than the front brace though. I have one in a box of parts I got with a used XB8 and I never tried it. There has to be a reason for it though.

The reason for the torque rod is to stiffen up the chassis flex (compared to the plastic brace) but to still keep the "twist", if you know what I mean.
