Okay mike. I need to get a 93 mm shaft and a 100.5 mm shaft for the gt. The ue titanium ones will work. could you order these and put them with the rest. Thanks

Just about got the tranny finished up. Put a temperary shaft in back. Project coming along nicely.

Cool,looks like simplest conversion in terms of battery placement i think i've ever seen,it's just like an e-maxx,it is wide enough right?Weight distribution should be spot on aswell for a locked center.

How many cells will fit flat there coolhand?

I have place 8 cells flat per side. I was thinking of running some 16 cells on it to. Should co nicely. The tranny is off my other emaxx. I have to get me one for it. I figure some gorilla straps and a little more work. It will be ready to run. I keep up to date as it comes along.

Does any one know if the monster gt diffs take oil? I don't think there is any in them. Just wondering before taking it apart.

Here's a quote from AE's FAQ:

"This tip comes directly from Team Associated/Thunder Tiger driver Richard Saxton. You can tune the MGT's sealed differentials by using silicone diff fluid of different viscosities. To improve steering, fill the rear diff with 5,000 to 10,000WT diff fluid. Before you add the fluid, you'll need to get rid of the factory grease that's packed into the diff. Fill the clean diff with fluid and seal it. You can leave the front diff alone or fill it with 1,000WT diff fluid. Either way, your truck will have more steering."

If my other steering mods don't help, I'll be putting 7,000 in the rear diff soon.

What is wrong with the steering bat? I have not finished mine yet. Parts on the way. thanks mike. What are you going to try? Let me know how it turns out please. Not trying to copy you. Just like good things. I going to run a hv maxx for now. I have to let you know on it.
By the way. Are you liking the center diff.

For bashing there's nothing really "wrong" with the steering, but for racing I've found that the steering radius is far too wide. In order to give it sharper turning, I've shaved some from the knuckles and I'm working on how to stop the steering linkage from hitting the front diff case. My guess is that I've so far gotten about 15-20% sharper turning. I'm hoping to see how it does at the track tonight.

Hey Batfish. you could put Revo wheels on the Monster gt. It will narrow your truck about 1" and improve steering response. the only problem is the narrow track may cause a traction roll if you have enough traction.

I've actually got Pro-Line Velocity Maxx dish wheels on it now, which do not have an offset, so I'll see how that works.

Sorry to put a little hijack on the thread, coolhandcountry, but these tips may help out in the long run anyway :)

The Revo wheels move your track in by an inch. The revo 40 series wheels will move your track in by 3/4 of an inch so you have a couple of options for adjustment

Hey it is all related to the monster gt. Hi jack away. I don't under stand how narrowing the wheels up would help. Shorting up yes. What if you shorted the arms up on the steering. If you shorten it up on the side where the drag link is. This may fix problem of hitting the diff and give it a little more turning. I don't know how it would effect the geometry of the steering though.

the track width can have a drastic effect on steering and handeling in general. A wider track width(from center of one tire to the center of other tirewill add stability, at the cost of some steering due to the resistance to weight transfer. A narrower track width will let the weight transfer happen which will let the truck turn quicker(sometimes too quick)

I think I messed up on the what part to shorten. You would have to shorten the servo mount side.
