The case itself is wonderful. I'm amazed that my all steel transmission (RC-monster gears....:D) is so quiet and smooth! I'll give the small locknuts a shot. Thanks for the info.

I can probably fix the stripped head of the screw by doing what Arct1k said; I'll have to also see what's up with the threading and why it's going in improperly.

SUCCESS! Slotted the problem screw, backed it out, loosened up the other screw, held the arm carrier pushed in towards the chassis (to make sure the hole lined up 100% correctly), and with a helluva lotta elbow grease, it went in. Now I just need to put the little locknuts in their holes, and it's 100% done.

Ok, got one of the locknuts in, and that's about all I need to be satisfied. I got the second one halfway in, but after pounding on it and everything, it won't budge any further. So it's just going to stay in there half assed. Oh well, now I just need a pinion, bolt up my medusa, and I'll be good to go!
