Does anyone have any gearing ideas for a 36-50-3300V2 in an E-Savage on 12 Nimh cells (switching to 2* 2s2P A123 cells) I have an 18t on there right now and it doesn't feel any faster than the Ammo 2600. I have the timing set at 10 degrees at the moment.
Motor comes off at 110 degrees without a fan, standard heatsink as the Medusa one doesn't fit the E-Savage transmission to well, ESC has a fan and comes off at 90 degrees. Batteries (Nimh) come off at 100-120 degrees.

Anyone have any thoughts on a good safe pinion size for this setup? I have the 46T plastic spur, 4S 5000 lipo on a 8ight buggy. I am looking for a good driving setup and not all out top end speed. I think my local track is mid size and med. bite. In the Novice class were only running 10 minutes mains as well.
Thanks,

Just an order update. Even tho it was listed as in stock. The last email i got yesterday said the order is being delayed because they need to bond the heatsink to the motor. I hope it will not take too long :) My RCPD Kit should be here Friday I think.. WooHoo!

Man i'm seriously thinking to get one,
I can't get the motor temp lower in my 1/10 Truggy (MM 4600 kv), I 've tried lower gearing, change timing, put heatsink on the motor. Still running really hot, in fact I can't drive 2 battery in a row or the motor will probably cook itself.

Anyone order a bonded heatsink version? I still have yet to get an update from them on my order.
I will send them an email today.

I was waiting to get one also, but couldn't hold out any longer, so I bit the bullet and ordered a smooth can 1512/2D. Maybe I'll still pick up a 36-60-2000 in the future, but outdoor season is starting around here and I can't wait forever.

I did. I ordered the bonded 4800kv version since they didn't have the regular 4800 50mm version in stock. I sent them an email before it shipped requesting they not put on, or remove if they had put on, the heatsink. They did. So now I got a kickass heatsink and a fine motor.
