You drill from the bottom some undersized holes and screw in from the bottom to the plate.
Then do the same with countersunk holes from the top through the tray into the plate... |

For me, i've drill/tap hole in the chassis, and countersink the hole in the bat tray, and screw it directly in the chassis.
