If you have easiest access to RC8 and parts that would probably be your best bet.
I have heard mugens are tanks (they don't break), also heard good things about xrays. I have a kyosho, and the parts are expensive and have to be mail ordered (no one local sells kyosho).
Losi also get good reviews.
Go with what you can get easiest/for the best price as long as it is a good brand (some Ofnas, xray, mugen, losi, associated). If I am leaving a quality product out, I appologize.
