I want this to be able to run cool, and reliable. Would the finned can fit in the flm chassis? Also any recommendations for insane power, with good cool reliability? Maybe the 1527 on 6S?

Thanx

Mike

Gee, really? I figured since this was the Savage forum that you were converting a Revo. j/k

Maybe he's asking what kind of Savage? Savage 21/25, X, X SS, or XL?

Thats why I didn't include it in the initial post. But I am converting a Savage 25. The diffs are already upgraded with hardened gears aluminum diff cups and bulks.

2 or 3 speed?

And what size (diameter) tire will you run?

2 or 3 speed I have the option, and current tires are 40 series pro line mashers 6.6" in dia. Also have pro line 40 series mulchers that are 6.1" dia.

Stick with the 1521, I did the 1527 on 6S and it wasn't controllable at anything over half throttle. In fact it wasn't even that fun to drive. I have a 1521 in my Savage now and that is much better. I use the 1577kv with 6S Flightpowers and a gearing of 52/16. Good mix of wheelies and top speed and temps stay reasonable. Get the new high speed 3rd gear set that just came out and top speed is even better! The only drawbacks are you still get a lot of busted drivetrain parts! Guess that goes with the brushless territory.
