If you're talking about a nitro conversion, then there are a couple good options. The AXi 2826-8 or 10 models are good, or the turnigy equivelants (diffeent shaft size though I think).

http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9793 best place to look for tips, just bear in mind the different transmission ratios.

so would this be a good setup the 2826/08 on 6s with the mmm on 25/36 gearing for 50mph?

and it would bolt right up to a 540 sized brushless mount

Not really. 4s lipo is the most you can run practically, since these higher kv outrunner motors dont like to be spun that fast- you make the power and speed through gearing. 22/40 gearing gives about 40mph or so. I would suggest following that link I posted and carefully reading all the info presented. Sike knows his stuff when it comes to outrunners.

I tend not to worry about amp draw and that stuff, thats more to do with determining power output than speed. I didnt realize the revo tranny is geared so low- 2.5 vs 1.83 or 1.72 for the new and old emaxxes. Gonna have a hard time getting much more speed out of it unless you can up the tranny ratio. 2nd gear wide ratio is better, but still only about 30mph. The old emaxx tranny allows for 38mph, and the new tranny 36mph.

You could gear up a tooth on the pinion, or look into an equivalent outrunner with a slightly higher kv, but its all abit out of area of expertease... Sike be the man to talk to, thats your best bet.

i had the wide ratio gear set but with my 8xl/mmm/4s and 20/40 gearing at 45 i punched it for a radar run and the front end came right up.i let off to bring it back down and grenaded the tranny that locked and i snapped my front center driveshaft. i wanted to get it running in a hurry and all the hobby shop had was the close. so thats what i got.

im completely happy with my setup now i just wanted to try somthing diffrent. i think im gonna study up more on outrunners then start the project
