I noticed the Maxamps 10C 10,000 mAh cells are only $35 a pop. I could build a nice high capacity 4s 29oz. pack for only 140 bucks. This would be great as long as the cells could deliver 85+ amps continuous. Does anyone have experience with this?
They're rated at 10C, which would be 100A. That's probably a low rating. Plus, if you would be using them at ~15% below their rating I think you'll be fine.

if Maxamps rates them @ 10c my guess is closer to 5c......
I have them in my buggy. I am running the novak HV4.5 system. They work great for me, but honestly I don't know what kind of current they can hold sense I do not have a data logger.
I have some of these packs here and would be happy to sell them off for a smoking deal - never bothered to list them on the site(they are pretty large packs), but if someone is interested in these, I would be ok to lose money on them to free up space. :)
