Common thing, John. Simply find a fairly beefy press pin and pound it back in place(the gear). I reinforce the new input shafts in my trucks to prevent this inevitable thing from happening. I force a piece of a body clip iside along with the stock press pin. I have also drilled the shaft and gear out to place a slightly larger, beefier press pin in place(be careful doing this, as you only want to increase the hole size a very little bit or you will weaken the shaft).
