Exactly like I did. You need a good esc (sp gt , RS/R1 pro or mamba max) and good nimh pack or 20C lipo to get the most of this kind of motor.

My advise go for a low gearing like 18 to 20 teeth, don't play with timing right now.
Set it low to very low.
Then gear it differently until you find the good temp/speed combo.
Then you can play with timing to get more punch out of the system

I'm on onroad xxx-s, so pinion will be like 16 :) Timing is a problem, my GM motors require 30deg, I wouldn't like to reprogram esc's for this motor right now.... ESC can handle 95A constant, I have limited it to 60A, so it should be enough I hope :) How is your engine doing?
