. What about the rest that can thermal the ESC? There is always the possibility and a newbie might take faiulre of the fan as an indication that the ESC is still cool even though it's not.

I don't have any problems (knock on wood) yet on my V1 on 1515 1Y on 6S. However, I will be exchanging it for the V2 once the backlog is over.

Castle Neu 1520 on 6S LiPo Powered Gmaxx (Nitro Killer)
Predator with OS .21TM
Supermaxx with Mach .26
Revo with OS .18TZ
Kyosho ST-RR Conversion
Ofna CR with Tekin ESC/Motor (2)

George, Are you infact in that situation? If your running that setup in a truck or truggy and geared to race and not too the moon or in an above average climate, probably not. I've been one of the fortunate ones with a v1 monster. Hooked up my fan to my rx almost from day one. I've run overgeared just to see what could happen. this esc is pretty darn tough IMO
