Just for clarification, Novaktwo. If you send old esc and 65.00 for non warranty replacement, you get the previous HV without the 4s cut-off? If so, what would it take to return for upgrade hv-pro? If it doesn't have the built in cut-off, its not worth trading in to me. Its a great deal if you need it fixed, to upgrade. How about the motors? i got a 4400hv with a sintered upgrade, how much to send and replace for a 7.5hv w/5mm shaft? Thanks and i await you're answer

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I think NovakTwo mentioned that in a few months (3-4 months after release) they will start allowing you to replace your HV-Maxx with an HV-Pro, same situation with the motor I am guessing.

Of course, my reply is not official (I am just a customer) so hopefully NovakTwo will reply and answer your question with more certainty.

The Novak customer service is pretty awesome.

So if I wait 3-4 months I can send my HV-Maxx in for an upgrade to the new Pro with 2-4s Lipo Cutoff? I can wait....

As awesome as we are...I have to add that we have not yet set the price of the upgrade to the HV Pro speed control. It will be more than $65.00. It is a different controller, and frankly we could go out of business if we offered to upgrade 4 year old speed controls to a new version for too little $$$!

We do currently allow customers who return GTBs for service to request any one of five different GTB versions in exchange for no upcharge. We like to establish "win/win" exchange service policies whenever possible. With BL motor exchanges, we allow customers to choose any sintered, wind they want in exchange for about 10.00 additional.

For example, when we added the lipo to the GTB, we received a lot of the original GTBs back for exchange. We had very little use for that many orig GTBs for the exchange program, so we offered them, remanufactured, on SAT for 99.00 to 119.00 and they sold like hotcakes. Likewise, too many of some wind reman 540 motors can be offered in the store for a good price.

cmcclive was correct. It will be several months before we add the new Kv HV motors and the HV Pro controller to our NW remanufacture, Replacement Options program. It takes quite a while to start getting enough new items back for service to then remanufacture them and add to the program.

The original HV-Maxx can be upgraded to the new service replacement version by re-programming the microprocessor, while the new HV Pro is completely redesigned firmware and hardware. So it is a new controller, even though externally it looks the same.
