That is a good thing. That means it is a great truck with a good setup. I had to do some upgrading on mine to get it relible as well. It be ok. Just get the kinks worked out of the servo.

It's 16/52. 70k :p . Not sure if I can run a smaller spur. Back when I made the motor mount they only had 52t. I think I did one of the first savage conversions. It was Dec. '03 or Jan. '04. Savage came out in Nov. '03 right? I'll try it later if the rain ever stops.

The runtime is what I'm looking for. My emaxx was fast enough for me with the titans (fast enough to pull a tmaxx .15 down the straight of our track)on 12 cells. When i play i don't want to go 45-50mph, 30-35 is ok anything else is too much for a monster truck in my opinion, I'm looking for as much runtime as i can get while maintaining what i already have. As far as how you drive. Isn't that how you are supposed to drive:p

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

The 9xl will push your truck in the 30-40mph bracket no problem.
IF you put a 6s on it I would say more. I will have to get back to you on other runs with more batteries. I have 36120 on order. I want to try with more cells. 24 sounds like a good number to run. I will have to let you know.

crazyjr, looks like you are looking for the same thing I am...30-35 mph top speeds, pretty good torque, and most important, long run times! I posted asking what would be the best setup, but still havnt decided if I want to run the 9920 with 7xl/8xl/9xl. I know I want to run 7 cell flat packs (14 cells total). but dont know which is the best. are you going to be running lipos or normal cells? I am going to be running the ib3800's, so its gotta be able to tug 14 of those around at a time.

and back to the topic:
that is one nice savage! What kind of run times do you see? (not that its comparable when you have 6000mah lipos lol).

I think i'm going to use the Kokam scorpion's when i go lipo's maybe the skyvolt FMA packs. I like that they can be charged faster than a normal battery pack and can handle higher current than other lipo's
