How's this for a bad day!!! -
08.01.2008, 03:00 PM
Both my mmm and Neu 1512 died today! The mmm will not synch any more no matter what I do. Took out the mmm replaced it w/ a MGM ( brand new) hooked it up to my 1512 1Y F, ran 2 packs through it and then the motor suddenly stopped. (All the settings on the MGM were as close to the mmm as I could get them ) The motor barely will spin at all. The motor has a total of 3 packs through it....oh well I will have to be patient and wait for the repairs...

how does a motor just stop? Did it overheat?
I fly, I drive, but most of all I crash.

The motor was warm to the touch when I went over to check it after it stopped working. When I try to spin the pinion, it is v/hard to spin. The controller was only warm to the touch after 20 min of running. I shook the motor and something let go on the inside..something is rattling around.

That happened to my Plettenberg Extreme and it was the bearing that ceased on it.

What can you do...smile and move along. The buggy was running sooooooo smooth too. At least I have my 9xl as a back up. I was pretty upset though... I have waited 7 weeks to finally have the time to go and play and look what happens...

Thanks for the kind thoughts..and it WILL be a better day tomorrow...My daughter and I will be repairing her Losi XXX 4G and running that tomorrow! Any time spent with my daughter doing what we both enjoy makes all the trouble and tribulations of our hobby seem insignificant.

Very wise words here! At least Neu has a good warranty and fast service. They fixed my 1515 1.5d and got it back to me in 5days, door to door, and 2 were the weekend!!!

The motor will be in the air tomorrow! That turn around is v/ impressive. Even if it takes 2 weeks it's ok..as long as it gets fixed.
