can someone take a picture of the v2. i wanna see how the wires are.
and jayjay, you said the fan clicked on once only for a few secs??? did CC do something else to the MMM besides the fan and bec issue? because when my fan stopped working, i ran it for like TWO minutes and it got to 125 degrees! but when the fan was working, the temp never got over 98 degrees! this is on a version 1.
so i cant believe if after one minute of running it heats up that quick and now they made the version 2 to have to fan off and turn on when it needs to....that means in my case it needs to turn on after like a minute. so which is why im asking if you guys know if they did something else to the v2.

in most cases it shouldnt turn on for ages, or even at all... there must be something inefficient with your setup.

i have the version one. and it runs very cool...only 98 degree max. but when the fan stopped working (dirt got it the esc and stopped the fan) i let it cool down to ampient temp, then ran it for 2 mins, and the 2 mins rose the temps to 125.

There is a pick of it all earlier in the thread. And with the V2 the fan is thermostat controlled - ie it only turns on when it needs to.

Well, were I live it's hot as hell and humid as hell too. The dirt on the front straight temped at 114 degrees and the black tubing was 124 degrees.
Mine is installed in an 1/8th scale buggy and was run on a midsize track in race conditions. I got temps around 150 degrees on both the motor and the esc. The fan was on most of the time.

i understand that the v2 is thermocontrolled, but if its the exact same esc, it should turn on after like 3 mins and continue to stay on, cus without the fan, my temps rose to 125 in two mins, but when the fan was working, it never got hotter than 98.
unless i have a retarded mmm, but it seems to be working fine when the fan is working...

Some of you guys need to chill the hell out. Yeah, it sucks the first batch of the ESCs had a problem. I burnt up two of them, but my third has been through hell and back and still going strong. I ran a 30 minute main last week with no fan on 4s lipos with my sole MMM. It took it like worn out porn star. I am anxiously awaiting my repaired ESCs like everyone else.
Castle has stepped up to be the first mover on a product and there will be mistakes. At least Castle has the balls to actually answer people's questions and really listen to the customers. They will get it fixed and get everyone their controllers.
As far as I am concerned, Castle can't win. If they don't respond and leave you wondering, you guys will bitch about them ignoring you. If they do respond and can't meet an exact delivery date, you bitch about how they are jerking our chains.
I am sure Patrick is upset about the situation like everyone else and I am sure their employees are working as fast as they can to rectify the situation. Let them get it fixed so we can get back to driving our trucks.
It ain't like we are waiting on some kind of life saving drug. We are driving toy cars. If you are that impatient, go drop $400 on an MGM so you can drive your car and quit your bitchin.
I meant to put this in that other thread... point still stands tho

I think I read patrick say the fan comes on at 60C=140F. So at 125F it still wouldnt be on.

It's good to know that your 3rd MMM is working flawlessly.
Now, get off of Patrick's arse and make sure you wipe your face very well .

Yeah if we cant wait there is nothing stopping anyone from getting an MGM or equal. Truth is we all want a deal and we want it now. I'm ok with waiting. Whats another week or two.

I agree. At least my nitros are happy for the attention they're all getting right now. For me, $152 (rc-monster deal) for an ESC is worth the wait.

Well what do you know, your on your third one! Some of us have been waiting for orders that we placed back in may. We should be the first to get them not someone like you who has three and telling us to chill the hell out!

Wow...everyone was complaining that it took CC a long time to get their product out. Then once its quite a few complained that it dieing left and right. CC stepped out and made corrections to their design rather than sending out more bad escs and yet people are still complaining about not recieving one. People just need to back off CC arse and let them do their job. You guys will get your esc and get a reliable one at that. If you are not happy with their product get a refund and go make your own esc. If you are not able to do that then just sit patiently and it will come.
