It would be cheaper with 2 MM 7700's - 08.12.2008, 06:17 PM

Is it possible/feasable/smart to just slap in the MM/7700 and just spend $180 more to slap in a second one with a y harness, running 2 8000mah 7.4's. This would slice the load in half, stay with in the weight of the original truck since it has 2 industrial motors and is set up to run heavy sub-c cells. I realalize that this would not increase the speed over what one brushless unit would do but it should be reliable, right? Would this unit need a bec eliminator set up, I would think not. Thanks again for the help!

You would be much better off getting the BEC and using the existing Mamba Max and using the lipos as 4s 8000, and getting 1 larger motor, say a 9xl for $70ish. 2 Castle motors dont work well or for very long in a monster truck, they are just too small and too high of a KV., if you want reliable, dual setups arent the way to go. I ran a v-twin for 6 months and its alot of tinkering, hit and miss and close watching temps...Sell the CC motor on ebay for $50 ish , buy a CC bec and ?Xl motor only $40 out of pocket. My opinion
