I don't see why they wouldn't. It wouldn't surprise me AT ALL if the xcelorin ESC's were worse than the motors, judging by people's luck with the velineon systems.
On a side note, why do these imitation brushless systems all have these stupid names?

There's a rumor that the motors are made by Feigao. Only difference is that the tires come out the side, and the endbell has a large "V" on it.
 The ESC's are complete junk. I'm not sure if anyone else thinks this, but I think they're EZ-Run ESC's.

what about the assosiated LRP's? their nitro LRP's are good, are their brushless ones crappy like xcelorin and velineon?

This was confirmed by me a long time back - The traxxas brushless motor is made by Feigao - The controller is not...
