Traxxas support, excellent. -
09.02.2008, 10:07 AM
A number of people have been saying how people always post the bad but never post the good. Well I though I would post about my recent experience with traxxas support. Some might remember that I recently soldered up a deans plug the wrong way on a VXL esc. The esc didn't survive the mishap.
I contacted traxxas and they told me to send the esc in for repair. They ended up replacing it for free. We were honest and completely prepared to pay the ful repair fee but they replaced it free of charge, thumbs up from me.

That's good. They probably appreciate the honesty. I'm sure they get a lot of repairs that are obviously due to user error, but the user swears they didn't do anything wrong.

It was sent back to my friend cause it was his esc so I didn't see the note but it supposedly came with a note saying we appreciate your honesty and that it was a one off replacement or something, meaning do it again and you will pay.
We ran his rustler around last night and it was great fun too. Those anaconda tires are great. Being rounded they don't catch so they slide out and don't flip you onto your lid. The rustler drives a lot better then the stampy too.

I voided the warranty on my vxl's and got them both replaced for free. Traxxas has no idea but their cs is bar none the best in my opinion.

My B'in law just bought a new E-Revo, and had both Titans go T.U. on the first battery pack. He tried to return it to the LHS and they said no way, but a call to Traxxas, and they are mailing him a new set of motors, without sending in the old ones. Pretty good service to me.

Yep we voided the warranty on this one too in a way. First thing we did was cut that plug off, that's also where everything went wrong too.
