why not? carbon fibre is stupid on a monster truck, not to mention its made for nitro, and you would have to mod it to work with electric, then finally it costs over 5x as much. Plennya reasons :P

Yea but like he said he is a hardcore basher and wants something that will hold up to the punishment. We have seen a few people use the carbon fiber stuff on an MT project, and they have ended up braking the rig in half due to a big air jump. Carbon fiber is great for really lite weight applications, but when you put any serious weight to it you end up with a shattered build. It is an expensive risky investment, when there are better materials for what he is trying to do.

My reason for not using the Vantage is that with using the 3906 EMaxx tranny, I have to do a bunch of grinding on the driveshaft "tunnel" area - and that will be more detrimental to the CF strength (compared to AL), and much more detrimental to my resperitory system!

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES
