I had voted that mine was working but it just failed in its second run. Please take away one working correctly and put a failed safely.

Well BrianG take another off of the good list and move to the failed. Mine up and quit today, good thing I have the MGM for back up. I guess I will not try the MMM in there again, tired of swapping ESCs (third time now).

Got my MMM hooked up today with no issues from the ESC. Did have a soldering issue but thats on me. I am running a FLM converted Savage, locked into second gear with no mech brake or reverse module. I am running my MMM as is out of the box, bec and all, with the lipo setting on auto. I have run five 2s 25c 5000 packs through it, just taking it slow before going up to 4s. Temps are good on everything run time was about 15~20 minutes going through an 8xl motor. I'll get to running 4s through it in the next few days but for now all is good.

Be careful going up to 4s.
If you sift through the information provided on the "Monster Max Data Collection" thread you will see that all of the setups that have failed (including mine) have all been 4S or higher. Seems like the onboard BEC (and a lot of the CC UBEC's) just can't hack the increase in voltage.

What would be great is if you put a couple of more Hrs. on your 2S setup and see if it still runs. Then if your brave enough give it a go on 4S-6S.

Just an observation

that would be if your running 3s or less, then a mamba max is more reliable and cheaper...

just putting it out there, but ur right, never seen one fail on 3 or 2s.

Ok, so I'll put a few more hours on at 2s, my truck is just for bashing anyway, and report back. Plus, even at 2s it will flip over backwards if I hit the go trigger wide open from a stop, plus it brakes so hard I can flip it on its face at full on brake.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but who really cares if it will run 2s. There a pile of 2s capable controllers out there already. The point of this controller is for the higher voltage MT and 1/8 applications. Not many of them are going ot be running 2s.

Couldn't agree more!!!

But if I had the choice between being able to drive my vehicle around, or just looking at a immobilized car, I choose being able to drive. Who knows how long it's going to take castle till they work the bugs out?????

Going to the post office now (sighs)

Hey ya, no problem. I bought this controler because it can run, well is rated to run at higher batt cell counts. For now I'm gonna run my 2s packs through it for a few more hours and see how it does, trucks just for kicks anyways. Maybe in the meantime CC will get V3 going with all the kinks worked out and then I can step it up knowing that the next one I get, should this one fail, will be improved. I guess for me its just not that big a deal but I see your point.

I have this strange feeling that CC will not be making any more MMMs until they have solved the issues...

We may have a while to wait before they do this. Good thing I have dozens of project cars to finish. It is fun to be able to drive them though...

In such a case, what shall we do? go back to Mamba Maxes with ccbecs, capacitors and fans. Yipee!

Whatever works. We were running these things without the MMM before it was released. There are new options coming allong all the time. Losi, MGM has new models comming out. DOnt forget the MM, R1Pro and even the quark are all decent options still.
