Look at this instead of the Gorillamaxx cross straps... I just bought 2 cross straps and not impressed - You can buy the same at radio shack for $4 for 5.
Thanks Arct1k, the link doesn't work though, but i did go to the hardware store and buy some thick black velcroe straps which are way stronger than the skinny Gmaxx ones.

Also love how the body matches the radio.
Thanks for th props BL, i actually didn't notice that they matched until i had a look at the pic

Oh, you should also buy a series harness incase some douchebag nitro guy comes walkin up, with his t-maxx pro .15!
That'd show him, when my tires get ripped off the rims...

Love the new toys. I have a DX3R coming as well, and I am thinking about getting one of the 0610i Duo chargers as well. Let us know how everything works out for you. From what I read about teh gear you bought I think you will be pleased. Nice vehicle as well. good job on the build.
You'll love the DX3R, it feels really solid, the sr3100 reciever is awesome as well, i couldn't beilieve how small it was .

Looks great...that motor really looks huge
Thanks mate, i thnk the batteries make it look a little more in proportion with the truck now, now if i could only find out where to mount the speed controller...

what color paint is that on the body? and who makes it?
Its made by Tamiya and the colour is gunmetal

Thanks, you love UE, i find that hard to believe , as for the batteries, i doubt they're that much bigger than those monster Zippy's you've packed onto your truck!!

Thanks for all the great comments guys!

Jordan
Maybe make a mount at the rear tower so motor wires will be short as well as batts...it will be mounted higher but its weight is negligible compared to batts and motor CG will still be almost the same..just an idea

I was thinking along those lines, there might be some excess wire hanging around from the ESC because its so close to the motor, but should be able to tie that up. I was thinking of just velcroe strapping it to the monoblock When i get it i should be able to make some plans, i dont know the actual size of the ESC yet

If all fails i might mount it ontop of the motor somehow...

Weight??? - 09.12.2008, 10:28 PM

So how much does that beast weigh with all of that gear onboard? With those batts I bet that it is pushing 15lbs or better now. Thank God yu bought a huge motor to push it around. So how much does it weigh now?

Exactly how it is in the last pic, it weighs 14lbs. Or 6kg as i would say over here...

Thats really not that bad considering how huge those batts are. I have not gotten the chance to weigh and of my trucks yet, but before we moved out of the apartment in Brussels I managed to order a nice digital scale, and they sent two by mistake. So once we get our stuff next week(hopefully) I will get to weigh them and see. Since my rigs are much like yours they will weigh pretty close to the 14lbs range. So how soon do you expect to run your toy? Nice work Jordan.
