Exactly how it is in the last pic, it weighs 14lbs. Or 6kg as i would say over here...

Thats really not that bad considering how huge those batts are. I have not gotten the chance to weigh and of my trucks yet, but before we moved out of the apartment in Brussels I managed to order a nice digital scale, and they sent two by mistake. So once we get our stuff next week(hopefully) I will get to weigh them and see. Since my rigs are much like yours they will weigh pretty close to the 14lbs range. So how soon do you expect to run your toy? Nice work Jordan.

I would imagine your SM's would weigh that much being all aluminium. What motor, controller and battery combos are you running in your trucks?

I am hoping to have it running by the second week of October. I should be out of this neck brace im wearing now. It would probably be better if i could see the truck when i drive it All i need is an MGM 28025, one of the new 'big' controllers that Mike is getting in for me, and the custom length centre dogbones which Mike is also doing. I have been waiting for those dogbones for 2 months now , but i know Mike is busy and he does quality work, so hopefully it won't be too much longer...

Backups??? - 09.13.2008, 09:13 PM

Hey Jordan why not order some back up dogbones dirsctly from Bill at RCALLOYS ($20 each)? Then you will always have a backup in case something goes wrong with the first setup. Just a thought.

I have one truck setup with a Novak HV 4.5, one with a Plettenberg "Big Maximum" and a Schulz 18/97 ESC, one with an MGM 180/24 waiting on a NEU 1515/1y, and one that is a shell up to now. I have some other controllers to play with, but have not made my mind up yet on how to go forward with that one. I have Brand new in boxes an MMM, a Quark 125b, and a Novak super duty, and a couple of brushed Dewalt 970 motors that I have had for quite a while. I still have so much to learn yet before play time gets really good. I have a Nomadio Sensor, and an DX3R that I don't even know how to setup or work yet, and an M11 on the way. Too many toys and not enough time to play. I have two sons that are very anxious to learn and play to, and I wanted to get setup so that we can all have some real fun, so for the last two years I have been stock piling some really good toys. Our shipments should arrive in the next week or two.

Good idea, i'll drop him an e-mail, always pays to have some extras.

Can't wait to see that Bigmaxximum'd truck, is that in your Lightning? Are all your trucks full SM's? Tell me about the DX3R, i had a look through the instruction manual and didn't understand a single word I guess i'll try to decipher that today as well.

Yea RC Alloys is pretty good about getting dogbones made up and in the mail pretty quickly, and only for $20each. That is not bad at all, plus they will do custom requests of any size.

I have one UE Lightning truck tricked out with RCM hybrid bulks and lightning hardened gear diffs that I plan on using the big Maximum in, one full RCM truck with GA titanium bulks and skids that I am thinking of trying the twin Dewalt 970's & Novak super duty in that one. The other two are a mix of Integy, RCM, Dynamite, and whatever else I could conjor up in order to build some sturdy projects for good prices. I also picked up 4 or 5 UE mono blocks with some RC Alloy shafts to give each one of them a little extra length for stability. So far I am using the 2-speed aluminum tranny with metal gearing installed. The kids and I will have some fun trying to figure everything out. THe DX3R seems to be a good piece of technology from what I have read and what has been shared on here about it, but I have not used mine yet either.
