A MM 7700 is best in lightweight on road cars. Heavy off-roaders will kill it, your drive train and your batteries.

I just finished a Crt. 5 conversion and I went with a Feigao 9 L work great.

Thanks for the build link Chip. Looks good! Love the body.

It seems like most are running 3s on their Crts. Anyone run one on 2s with a higher KV motor? The Medusa 4800kv 50mm maybe?

my friend here have try a 7700 kv in is crt.5.(2 cell lipo)...the esc reach cut-off temp after 7 minutes...dont try this at home

I'm running that motor on 2s and love it! Plenty of power and speed. I'm usung a MA 6Ah pack and getting 20minutes of high speed runs without a problem. If you want to try running 2s in a crt.5 this is the motor to go with! If you want to run 3s I would say the 3300kv(?) Medusa. For the little bit extra they cost I beleive they are far superior to any Feigao motor or the VXL motors. I was considering the 4600 CC motor when doing this build but was cautioned against it, would run hot no matter how I geared it I was told. Bought the Medusa and I'm very glad I did!

Good to hear its the way to go, thanks guys. What gearing are you running? The trick is finding one in stock now. :)
